Navigating the Disability Confident Journey: evidence

This webinar series aims to guide you and your organisation through your Disability Confident journey by visiting some of the key areas of the framework and providing best practice and guidance to support you to receive your validation.

The third webinar in this series will focus on evidence.

  • What do we mean by evidence?
  • What does good evidence look like?
  • What exactly are we trying to prove?

Both Level 2 and Level 3 of the Disability Confident scheme requires organisations to supply evidence to support your narrative, and demonstrate all the activities you are taking part in to be considered Disability Confident. At Level 3, an external organisation or assessor will validate your submission, so providing excellent evidence is imperative.

In this session Jem Freeman, Advice Service Business Partner, will:

  • Forensically pick apart exactly what great evidence looks like.
  • Provide guidance about how to engage all the right stakeholders in your organisation to gather best examples of the great work you are doing.
  • Consider the best way to present your findings to your validators.

Who should attend?

Organisations at any point in their Disability Confident journey who want to take part in a friendly and informative session and connect with BDF experts.

What is the ‘Disability Confident’ scheme?

The Disability Confident scheme is a UK Government initiative to encourage employers to recruit people with health conditions and disabled people. It also aims to help employers retain their disabled staff encouraging them to work through the structured programme.

Participating in the Disability Confident scheme can be a great way of demonstrating to applicants and candidates that your organisation is committed to recruiting and retaining disabled talent.

At BDF we support member organisations through the scheme and as part of your membership we validate level 3.

Live captions and BSL will be provided as part of this event.
