Business Disability Forum provides members with pragmatic support by sharing expertise, advice and providing training and networking opportunities. We promote best practice and work with organisations to set and influence policy so that it benefits both organisations and disabled people.

Our membership includes many of the UK’s largest businesses and public sector employers. We are a not-for-profit, registered charity.

There are two ways you can join Business Disability Forum, as a Member or as a Partner.

Members benefits

  • A Relationship Manager to help you make full use of your Business Disability Forum membership.

  • Wide-ranging programme of training and events – some free as part of membership, including networking events, the Disability-smart Awards ceremony and Technology Taskforce events; and others discounted, including professional development courses and seminars.
  • Mental health e-guidance module 1 for your intranet, plus discounted access to modules 2 & 3.
  • Advice on your annual workforce surveys, including question and language review.
  • Unlimited access to the Member Hub offering resources that include information sheets, toolkits and case studies to support you to deliver disability-smart business.
  • Monthly communications such as our newsletter, legal update and Technology Taskforce newsletter.
  • Networking: 1-2-1 connections, events, and via our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
  • Use of our logo on your email signature, job adverts, company websites, intranets etc.
  • Further opportunities to share your experiences by hosting (with free places given in exchange) and speaking at our events.

  • Signposting to other specialist services, including site audits, web development, consumer research and mystery shopping.

There are a number of other products and services that can be provided for an additional fee. 

These include an evaluation of your Disability Standard submission, consultancy services, in-depth recruitment audits, tailored training and intranet content licencing for our full range of toolkits.

Partners benefits

 In addition to all Member benefits, our partners also receive:

  • A Strategic Adviser to help you make full use of your Business Disability Forum Partnership and help plan and/or support your disability strategy.
  • Disability Standard evaluation and consultancy.
  • Unlimited intranet license for our Briefing papers (21 papers).

We recognise that one Partner’s needs are very different to another’s and the offer can be flexed accordingly (for example by providing five free consultancy days over the Partnership year).

Working with us as a Partner is an investment in our future development, ensuring long-term benefit to Partners, Members and UK organisations (private and public sector) as a whole.

Annual fees

  • Membership: £3,800 per year plus a one-off joining fee of £750, plus VAT or two years at £6,840 (10% discount) plus £750 joining fee, plus VAT.
  • Partnership: £20,000, plus VAT.
