Eleni joined NatWest Group in 2018 and has formed part of their ‘HomeLife’ Employee Led Network as Carers Co-ordinator since 2020, which she does in addition to her core role within the groups Internal Audit function. NWG is recognised as a Carer Positive ‘Exemplary’ level Employer by Carers Scotland, which equates to the Ambassador level of Carer Confident by Carers UK.
Eleni has been caring for her father, who has COPD & Diabetes, for the last 13 years since she was aged 17. She is therefore exceptionally passionate about supporting carers in the workplace and helping them achieve their career ambitions whilst balancing their own life and caring responsibilities. She now leads the planning and delivery of ‘Carers Week’ and ‘Carers Rights Day’ each year for NWG, and has contributed to delivering tangible change in NWG’s Carers Leave Policy which led to her represent the Bank at a recent Scottish Parliamentary Reception celebrating “Carers Parliament: 10 Years of Carers Influencing Change”.
As well as hosting a regular ‘Carers Café’, a ‘virtual’ space for colleagues to meet, recommend support resources and share caring experiences, Eleni also regularly collaborates with the Neurodiversity Alliance and Enable Employee Led Network groups.”
