Business Disability Forum has announced the finalists of its Disability Awards 2023. The Disability Smart Awards 2023 recognise the work of teams and individuals who have gone above and beyond to improve the life experiences of disabled people.

Business Disability Forum hosts the awards as a platform for sharing evidence and learnings from real life projects that have had a positive impact on disabled peoples’ lives. The awards also challenge all organisations to rethink what is possible on disability inclusion.
There are 10 Disability Awards categories this year. Speaking about the awards, Diane Lightfoot, CEO, Business Disability Forum, said:
“I want to congratulate all the Disability Smart Award 2023 finalists on their achievements. We had more entries to the awards this year than ever before and the standard of entries was very high. It is great to see so many individuals and organisations taking action to develop truly inclusive approaches which are improving experiences for their disabled customers and workforce.”

The Disability Smart Awards 2023 are sponsored by Microlink. Winners of the Disability Smart Awards will be announced at an accessible awards ceremony in London on 27 April. The event will also be lived-streamed and is open to all.
Business Disability Forum would also like to congratulate the finalists in the Disability Confident Awards. These awards are independently judged and awarded by the Department for Work and Pensions’ Disability Confident Team. Winners will be announced by Tom Pursglove MP, Minister of State for Disabled People, Health and Work, at the Disability Smart Awards event.
