Introduction

On this page, you can find out about our policy work related to the Access to Work scheme, including information about our Access to Work Forum for members.

Access to Work is a UK Government initiative that aims to support people with disabilities get jobs and stay in work. It does this by providing grants for specific support for a named disabled employee or candidate. Visit our ‘Access to Work’ guidance page for a more detailed explanation of how the scheme works.

BDF believes Access to Work is a world-leading asset and should be protected and invested in. Along with our members, we have been working to understanding the use, challenges, and successes of Access to Work since 2018.

We play an advisory and influencing role, working with the UK Government to drive how the scheme is designed, improved, and implemented.
