Lyn R. Lee is a recognized leader in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), with a career spanning corporate transformation, thought leadership, and advocacy.

As Shell’s first Asian Chief DEI Officer, she led transformative culture change, influencing policies, fostering open dialogue, and driving sustainable impact through initiatives such as award-winning leadership programmes, pioneering inclusion in underserved markets, and storytelling projects, including the acclaimed film series Unique People, Powerful Together.

Beyond her corporate achievements, Lyn continues to champion inclusion and human-centred leadership.

She is the author of Tiny Rice Grains, a Straits Times non-fiction bestseller; a public speaker on leadership, culture, and inclusion; Chairwoman of the Advisory Council for the Ngee Ann Polytechnic School of Humanities and Interdisciplinary Studies; Board Member of the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Council; and a Board Member at the Singapore Association for Mental Health.

Her early career work in mental health and social mobility shaped her understanding of the social dimension of ESG, and her work continues to focus on amplifying unheard voices, navigating cultural complexity, and embedding human-centred thinking into policy and leadership practices.

Her experience and insights have been featured in some of the region’s most respected media titles, including Bloomberg, Channel News Asia, The Straits Times, and Her World, and in 2024, she was inducted into the Robb Report Thought Leaders community.

Lyn’s contributions have been recognized with numerous accolades, including the EVCOM Clarion Gold Award and Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards for Unique People, Powerful Together, the Brandon Hall DEI Gold Award for Best Advance in Leadership Development for Women, Business Disability Forum – Disability Smart Awards Finalist, and Workplace Pride 2024 Global Benchmark – “Advocate” status.

As a DEI strategist and speaker, Lyn engages audiences with insights on inclusive leadership, cultural transformation, and purposeful storytelling, inspiring organizations and individuals to create environments where everyone feels empowered, valued, and included.
