Julie Dennis is a highly experienced EDI specialist with more than 20 years’ expertise across the public and voluntary sectors. As Head of Inclusive Workplace Strategy & Policy at Acas, she leads the organisation’s national Inclusive Workplaces programme, shaping strategy and policy to help employers across the UK build cultures where everyone can thrive.

Julie’s work spans a broad range of inclusion priorities, including managing and preventing workplace conflict, advancing disability inclusion and the use of reasonable adjustments, tackling sexual harassment, supporting menopause-friendly workplaces, promoting neurodiversity, and strengthening approaches to mental health, race equality, and bullying and harassment.

Recognised as one of the UK’s most experienced professionals in her field, Julie has developed and delivered major D&I initiatives that improve both employment practice and service delivery. She has built strong organisational infrastructures—such as staff networks, diversity champions, positive action programmes, comprehensive monitoring frameworks, award winning campaigns, and a suite of impactful training offers including unconscious bias and inclusive leadership.

Passionate about creating workplaces where people can truly be themselves, Julie is a committed diversity ally and mental health champion, often sharing her lived experience of anxiety caused by PTSD.
