Our next Procurement Network will take place on Thursday 21 March, from 2.30pm to 4pm. It is open to Business Disability Forum Member and Partner organisations.
The topics and guest speakers for the sessions are:
How can we strategically work more upstream, to drive accessibility and inclusion through the procurement lifecycle.
We are delighted to be joined by Andy Garrett, Workplace Adjustments and Accessibility Director at GSK, who will be providing insights into a cross-organisational approach to accessibility and inclusion. He will share the impact their Disability Council has had in shaping the ‘buy in’ from senior procurement leaders, and how they are planning to ‘bake in’ accessibility to each stage of the procurement (SOP) buying process.
He will share this vision for how we need to move from a model where we have less need to rescue those who may have ‘fallen in the river [of accessibility]’ – and looking to stop them falling in the first place!
Insights from HSBC on accessible procurement.
We are delighted to be joined by Ben Ineson, Category Lead at HSBC and Arati Rao, Senior Digital Governance Manager at HSBC. They will be sharing their insights into what makes accessible procurement work in HSBC, the importance of a cross organisation approach, a great example of an engaged supplier, along with where there is still work to be done.
Closed captions will be included for this meeting.
If you are interested in joining, have any questions or would like to request adjustments for this meeting, please email our Events team.
