NatWest/RBS: creating accessible and inclusive learning & development
Nicole Harris and Karen Jenkins (Learning & Development Programme Managers, People & Transformation Team at NatWest) will be speaking about the range of e-learning programmes they have designed at the bank. In particular, they will discuss the journey they have taken to creating inclusive, accessible and usable learning modules for colleagues across the bank.
The UK Government’s Adjustments Planner
Emily Jackson, Senior Disability Business Partner at BDF will give a presentation regarding the recent launch of the UK Government’s Adjustments Planner. The Government’s Adjustments Planner is to help disabled learners and students plan conversations to have with prospective employers about the adjustments they need in work. Emily will discuss the planner and provide guidance for employers on how it can be used effectively. Emily will also provide guidance on what the law (Equality Act 2010) says about discussing disability and health before a job has been offered.
Updates from BDF – Changing the Image of Disability and the Disability Smart Awards 2024
Emily Jackson will highlight recent updates from BDF including the launch of our Changing the image of disability campaign which aims to increase representation and improve how disabled people and disability are portrayed in images. The session will round off with a discussion of BDF’s Disability Smart Awards 2024 which are now open for entries!
