Disability Confident Scheme
Last updated: 20 January 2026
What is the Disability Confident scheme?
The UK Government’s Disability Confident Scheme is designed to support employers to recruit and retain people with disabilities and long-term conditions. Many of BDF’s Members are Disability Confident employers.
How Business Disability Forum supports employers
Business Disability Forum supports businesses to improve disability inclusion and the experiences of disabled people as candidates and employees. We encourage our Members to continuously review and measure the impact that their workplace policies, procedures, and behaviours have on them.
Resources and responses
Business Disability Forum has been regularly involved in working with DWP’s Disability Confident team to support the work and progress of the scheme.
