Introduction

Welcome to Legal Ease where you will find answers to your questions about the Equality Act 2010 and disability. There are videos and guidance on disability discrimination law and employment and on disability discrimination and the law as it relates to customers, clients and service users in the UK.

Legal Ease also has guidance on:

The Equality Act 2010 gives disabled people in England, Scotland and Wales rights in a variety of areas including employment, the provision of services and public functions. The Equality Act 2010 does not apply to Northern Ireland which retains the Disability Discrimination Act 1995

This section will be useful for personnel, human resources and diversity managers as well as those responsible for customer service and training.

The law is always subject to change either by Governments bringing in new provisions or repealing existing provisions and by the courts interpreting the law case by case. You should consult legal advisers about any individual cases rather than relying solely on what is written here.
