Season’s greetings from Business Disability Forum

Before we take a break, (our office is closed from 5 pm on Tuesday 24 December until Thursday 2 January at 9 am), here are some highlights from this year.

During 2024, we:

• Grew our membership to over 600 Members and Partners.
• Launched our eleventh Disability Smart Awards, open for entries until 17 January.
• Launched new resources to our upgraded Knowledge Hub, including a Technology Toolkit.
• Ran 70 events with 5,220 attendees. That’s 20% more events and 16% more delegates than in 2023.
• Created our own Manifesto for a disability inclusive UK.
• Expanded our Disability Smart Image Bank as part of our Changing the image of disability campaign.
• Had 15,594 interactions with Members and Partners through our Advice Service.
• Released 3 episodes of our Disability Today podcast.
• Welcomed more than one-third of our membership organisations to our policy and research working groups or forums to help shape disability
• Secured 315 pieces of media coverage including BBC, London Live, The Standard, The Independent, Forbes, Mail Online, People Management, HR Magazine, Personnel Today and Financial News.
• Completed 55 consultancy projects.
• Welcomed 15 speakers from 8 countries and nearly 700 delegates from 41 countries to our Global Conference sponsored by HSBC.
