Season’s greetings from Business Disability Forum
Before we take a break, (our office is closed from 5 pm on Friday, 22 December until Tuesday 2 January at 9 am), we wanted to share some of our highlights of the last year.
During 2023, we:
- welcomed 105 new Members and 10 new Partners, taking our membership to 570+;
- published our Procurement Toolkit which provides guidance on how procurement processes can deliver disability inclusive products and services;
- launched our tenth Disability Smart Awards – open for entries until 21 January;
- received nearly 2,000 responses from employees, managers and graduates to our Great Big Workplace Adjustments Survey 2023 (sponsored by Microlink);
- launched our A to Z of Disability – simple definitions for over 100 disability-related terms;
- significantly updated our Global Toolkit which provides disability inclusion guidance for global organisations (sponsored by Texthelp);
- ran 58 events including a popular hybrid annual conference (sponsored by HSBC);
- aired the second series of our ‘If you don’t mind me asking’ podcast;
- launched our Changing the image of disability campaign;
- welcomed 14 new members of staff, taking our team to over 50;
- were invited to speak at many events, including the ILO Global Business and Disability Network’s annual conference;
- involved over 2,200 individuals (employers and disabled people) in our policy and research projects.
