Barclays – Diverse Personas
This resource was created by our Technology Taskforce, a group of senior IT accessibility individuals from leading UK and global organisations. For more information, including how to join, see our website.
Understanding diverse experiences
In 2015, Barclays consulted with accessibility experts and disabled people to create a range of personas, representing people with different disabilities. They were created to demonstrate how different disabilities can mean people interact with products and services differently.
We encourage organisations to use these personas to consider how disabled people use their products and services, including any difficulties they may experience. Think about how your products and services could be improved to work better for everyone.
These personas are not exhaustive. There are many more different ways a disability could affect how someone interacts with your organisation. Equally, the disabilities shown here may lead to alternative experiences, as many factors other than disability can have an impact.
