Navigating the Disability Confident Journey

This webinar series will guide you and your organisation through your Disability Confident journey. We will visit some of the key areas of the framework and provide best practice and guidance to support you to receive your validation.

Our first webinar will explore and demystify the ‘offer of an interview’ – a commitment made by employers to offer an interview to all disabled applicants who meet the essential criteria for an advertised job, and an area we have identified organisations often need our support on with.

Jem Freeman, Advice Service Business Partner, and Sandra Coley, Senior Disability Business Partner, will:

• Provide an overview of the entire Disability Confident framework in a nutshell.
• Explore the ‘offer of an interview’ criteria.
• Outline how BDF can support you with your journey.
• Provide a chance to connect with BDF experts during our Q&A.

Who should attend?

Organisations at any point in their Disability Confident journey who want to take part in a friendly and informative session.

What is the ‘Disability Confident’ scheme?

The Disability Confident scheme is a UK Government initiative to encourage employers to recruit people with health conditions and disabled people. It also aims to help employers retain their disabled staff encouraging them to work through the structured programme.

Participating in the Disability Confident scheme can be a great way of demonstrating to applicants and candidates that your organisation is committed to recruiting and retaining disabled talent.

At BDF we support member organisations through the scheme and as part of your membership we validate level 3.
