Inclusive Communication Toolkit
Our Inclusive Communication toolkit – sponsored by Skipton Building Society – provides advice and guidance on making sure disabled customers and colleagues are included in the information you are communicating.
Welcome to the Inclusive Communication Toolkit, kindly sponsored by Skipton Building Society. Your organisation has subscribed to access all the sections and resources in this toolkit. We hope you find them useful. Watch Business Disability Forum CEO, Diane Lightfoot, introduce the Toolkit below:
In this toolkit, you will find out how you can make sure disabled customers and colleagues are included in your communications. We will show you how you can create information which everyone can understand and access.
The toolkit includes practical resources that give you tips and advice on making information more inclusive and accessible in your day-to-day work. You may also find the resources useful when briefing colleagues and when working with external agencies and suppliers.
View a contents list of resources in this toolkit, or browse them below.
We’re always looking to keep this toolkit up to date with new examples and contributions. If you would like to contribute to the toolkit, please get in touch via firstname.lastname@example.org. Keep an eye on this Toolkit, as we will be adding more resources over time.
We’d like to thank Skipton Building Society and all members of the steering group for providing feedback and materials during the creation of this toolkit. Watch the toolkit launch event below:
The resources we provide are designed to sit on our Knowledge Hub, so please direct your employees to use our site. However, we understand that in some instances organisations might find it more useful to host the content on their own intranets or learning management systems. Please email email@example.com to discuss options to suit your needs.
