Making Adjustments e-guidance
You may have heard of ‘reasonable adjustments’ already. Employers are required by law to make adjustments for employees with a disability or long-term health condition. This could be anything from widening a door to the building to providing software that reads out text on a screen or working from a different location.
As a manager though, you won’t usually need to get bogged down by the details of the law or what is ‘reasonable’. In this module, we’re simply talking about ‘adjustments’ as tools that enable members of your team to work as effectively as possible. All this really means is doing something differently to make it easier for an employee to do their job.
