Understanding how to support and integrate assistive technology into core business systems.

You may find it helpful to visit the â€˜Getting started’ and â€˜Learning more’ sections of this resource before using the ‘Specialist’ section.

In this ‘Specialist’ section you will find training and resources to help you understand how to support assistive technology and how to integrate it within core business systems.

Assistive technology covers a range of systems and products that can make it easier for disabled people to carry out tasks.

This section also covers enhanced accessibility awareness around customer experience and new emerging technology products.

The links in the ‘Specialist’ section are particularly relevant to the following roles:

  • technical support
  • those with responsibility for putting in place workplace adjustments.

An example

Morgan works in technical support and is the ‘go-to person’ for anything to do with integrating assistive technology. The training and resources in the ‘Specialist’ section give Morgan a good understanding of the assistive technology used within the business. She works with the project team to make sure everyone is able to use the new finance system, and the assistive technology integrates seamlessly.
