The training and resources in the ‘Getting started’ section will have given you a good basic understanding of accessibility. You are now ready to move onto the ‘Learning more’ section.
The resources linked to in this section will help you understand the accessibility needs of your organisation. They will also help you work with colleagues on accessibility.
The resources are particularly relevant to roles that include:
- managing projects
- analysing business requirements
- purchasing technology solutions
- supporting the use of technology
- organising and delivering learning and development
- commissioning software and hardware in your organisation.
An example
Susan is a Project Manager and is working on implementing a new finance system. By completing the ‘Learning more’ training, Susan is able to anticipate the barriers that disabled people might face when using the new finance system. This means that the system will be accessible from the outset and Susan will avoid costly and time-consuming retrofitting when colleagues encounter accessibility issues.
