Welcome to Business Disability Forum’s Procurement Toolkit
This Toolkit is proudly sponsored by Sodexo.
Every organisation procures things, whether that is outsourced services, office space, furniture, or technology.
Whatever it is that you’re procuring, you need to be certain that it will work for disabled people. Yet, disabled people can often fall through the gaps in procurement processes. Although outsourced products and services are provided by another organisation, you have a legal and ethical responsibility to ensure disabled people are not disadvantaged by what you procure.
In this Toolkit, we will show you that disability smart procurement will improve everyone’s experience. Listening to the people who use the products and services you procure means they are more likely to have positive experiences. We have some general advice about what disability smart procurement means and how to do it. We also provide advice about procuring specific types of products and services.
