Site accommodations: focusing on the internal
Mhairi Boland and Matthew Burgess from Lendlease will be sharing their work around site accommodations minimum standards. They will update us on what they have been doing across the sector, to make sure that there is a practical and accessible, minimum standard when it comes to construction sites.
Partnerships on Disability Equality Roadworks: focusing on the external
Michael Barratt from Transport for London (TfL) will join Matthew and Mhairi for the second part of our session. They will tell us about their work around public spaces and how they make sure these are accessible for everyone. They will cover a number of insights from their inclusive research, involving a range of disabled experts.
Michael will expand on disabling environments and highlight where constructors and highway contractors design in barriers to access and how TfL steers considerate design.
This event will operate using the ‘Chatham House’ rule.
