Kindly hosted by Bank of America.
About
Next year it will be 30 years since the Disability Discrimination Act. This landmark disability rights legislation seemed to point the way to an inclusive future. Are we nearly there yet? What progress can we take pause to celebrate and what is still needed to achieve real inclusion and equity? Disabled people are more visible in our society and especially on our screens. From the Paralympics to reality TV disabled people are showing who they are and what they can achieve but has this translated into the world of work?
We’re excited to hear from our panel:
- Phil Friend OBE, former consultant on disability matters and ‘The Way We Roll’ podcast co-host.
- Victoria Jenkins, CEO and Founder, Unhidden, Co-Chair of The Lilac Review and author of ‘The Little Book of Ableism’.
- Simon Minty, disability trainer and consultant, Ambassador at Business Disability Forum, TV personality and ‘The Way We Roll’ podcast co-host.
With introductions from:
- Krishna Raval, EMEA Head of Diversity & Inclusion, Bank of America.
- Steve Ingham CBE, Chair, Business Disability Forum.
- Diane Lightfoot, CEO, Business Disability Forum.
