Welcoming all fans to football

Join us to hear from Connor Bagenal from Brentford F.C., who will be discussing the ways in which the club are serving their disabled fans and customers. In the 1960s, a visually impaired fan shared the barriers they faced while watching games, and Brentford quickly became the 2nd club ever to launch audio descriptions in response.

From there, the club has been developing disability inclusion in multiple ways to support disabled fans and customers towards equitable enjoyment and inclusion at the stadium: toilet facilities, changing places, sensory room, sensory shop hours, staff training from Level Playing Field, wheelchair bays, audio descriptions, the list continues. The message is clear that if you care about the diverse needs of your fans and customers, you can have them for life.

More Desk-Free workers resources – retail focus

Paul Pether (Content Project Manager) will introduce the Desk-Free Workers resource project – an initiative to support your frontline colleagues, who are so often the face of your organisation.

Our new Desk-Free Workers resource kit is designed to help you make that happen. We have developed a comprehensive set of practical, retail-specific resource packs, tailored for workers who spend most of their time away from a desk or computer. The tools are engaging, easy to use, and directly relevant to real retail customer service scenarios.

Paul will introduce the resources, highlight the potential benefits, and explain how BDF can support you to implement them in your business.
