Emily works in the Advice Service offering guidance to human resources professionals, line managers, and service providers on all aspects of disability as it relates to business.
Emily’s key interests are intersectionality, mental health, and making effective adjustments for employees to ensure the workplace is inclusive, supportive and barrier-free.
Joining Business Disability Forum in 2015, Emily began her career as Press Officer, working with journalists and media outlets to raise effective awareness of disability best practice as evidenced across business. Emily then moved into the consultancy team where she co-delivered projects including increasing employment opportunities for disabled people in Camden (CamdenAbility) and international consultancy work with Saudi Rehab Group.
Before joining Business Disability Forum, Emily worked as a Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator for one of the UK’s leading live sound and event production companies, where she wrote articles for professional audio magazines and live events publications.
Emily studied Sociology and Politics at the University of Birmingham, graduating with a 2:1 BA Hons in 2011.
