Allan MacKillop is the lead for Disability at the BBC. He is responsible for developing and driving forward the disability strategy to support both disabled staff and users of BBC Services.
Allan provides subject matter leadership expertise to a range of initiatives designed to improve accessibility right across the organization. These include improving the reasonable adjustment process, developing specific training for line managers and improving premises access.
He is also currently developing and implementing the disability passport concept to allow staff to easily transition between roles at different locations.
Prior to the BBC, Allan worked as the Disability Lead and Accessibility Champion at CGI Group for two years. In this role he led on all disability matters, providing an advisory service on accessibility compliance. He also supported on all disability-related communication.
Allan has held a number of other roles with extensive experience ranging from Change Management to Software Development.
