Impairment-specific awareness training

We offer a range of impairment-specific training for situations where a workplace has identified a specific need. Each of these courses focus on the practical effects of a condition on the workplace or as a customer, grounded in the lived experience of people with disabilities, and do not offer medical information. Popular options include:

  1. Dyslexia
  2. Autism
  3. Specific mental health issues, ie., psychosis or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Introduction to disability 

This short, ‘awareness raising’ session offers a brief introduction to disability and encourages delegates to identify how disability is relevant to their roles. In this session, we explore the range of conditions that may be considered disabilities under the Equality Act 2010, the different ‘models’ of disability, and introduce practical tools delegates can use to understand the disability equality impact of all aspects of their work.
