Annual Conference – Disability: What’s New, What’s NextShare via facebook Share via twitter Share via linkedin Share via email
Date: Wednesday, 30 June 2021.
Cost: Members: Free | Partners: Free | Non-members: £100.
2020-21 has been a period like no other – and there are no signs of a return to what we used to think of as normality any soon. But what does that mean for people in business and society? How can we make our “newest normal” the best of both worlds as we “build back better?” And what’s next on the agenda for disability inclusion?
Join us for our 2021 Annual Conference “Disability: What’s New, What’s Next” which will take place online on 30 June thanks to the generous support of our Partner HSBC.
We’ll be exploring themes from getting started to intersectionality and perceptions vs reality, so wherever you are on your Disability Smart journey there’s something for you!
Is there something you’ve always wanted to know about disability inclusion but felt you couldn’t ask because you thought you should already know the answer – or that asking the question might cause offence? If so, you aren’t alone! Our first panel session “Everything you always wanted to know about disability inclusion but were afraid to ask” will be hosted by an expert line up from our Business Disability Forum team including Diane Lightfoot, Adrian Ward, Davina Critchley, Fleur Donnelly-Jackson, Emily Jackson and Bela Gor who’ll be on hand to answer all your queries.
A little later, we’ll be joined by Sandra Kerr from BITC who’ll be sharing “What’s New in Diversity & Inclusion” and discussing their findings and new guidance on race and mental health plus insights for organisations to share for D&I planning.
Later in the day we’ll be exploring “Perceptions vs reality – how far have we really come?” with Dominic King from Accenture, who’ll be sharing some fascinating research findings – plus join us for a discussion on fashion and image with broadcaster Samantha Renke, and a look at “What’s Next in Diversity & Inclusion”.
