Date: Thursday 25 March
Location: Online
Our Technology Taskforce Showcase: Tech for Life will be looking at the personal stories of people with disabilities and how technology has helped them to overcome barriers both at work and at home.
The year 2020 has led us to rely on technology like never before.
The majority of offices have been emptied as the public has been mandated to stay at home and save lives in the midst of COVID-19 – yet many people have been asked to continue to be as productive at home as in the workplace and rely on their own or borrowed technology.
How are people coping and adapting? And has this made the case that many disabled people have been calling for around tech for life easier to listen to?
At our next Technology Taskforce Showcase, we will hear about the lived experience of individuals from within business and discuss where technology has really made an impact and where it still has some way to go.
We will also lead a panel session with all our speakers where our audience will have the opportunity to ask questions and take part.
We are pleased to announce that our first speakers will be:
- Iain Hadwin, Senior Manager, S2O Process Excellence Initiatives, Bristol-Myers Squibb
- Debra Ruh, Ruh Global IMPACT, CEO / Founder, AXSChat, Co-Founder
With further speakers to be announced shortly.
Guests will have the opportunity to share comments, thoughts and ask questions live.
This event will take place online and joining details will be shared upon registration. Business Disability Forum will be providing live captions and live BSL as part of this event.
