Vicky joined the Civil Service four years ago and fulfilled a long standing ambition to work in central government.  Vicky has been fascinated by politics and the state’s role in defining how we live and behave since she was a teenager.  She went on to do a Politics degree at Liverpool University which cemented this interest.

Before joining the Foreign & Commonwealth Office as the Head of Talent and Capability, Vicky was the HR Director for UK Visas and Immigration and Her Majesty’s Passport Office in the Home Office.  Prior to that she worked as a Management Consultant for 13 years, specialising in people-related strategy and change which enabled her to experience many different multi-national organisations in a variety of industries.

In her current role Vicky’s remit includes Senior Diplomatic Appointments, Performance, Talent and Promotion, Diversity and Inclusion, Wellbeing, the Management Advice Service, support for Disabled colleagues, implementation of Oracle Cloud HCM and she also play a leading role in the FCO’s internal Diplomacy 20:20 change programme.
