Michael is a HR Performance Consultant working for The Royal Bank of Scotland. Michael has worked for the bank in various areas, including Insurance, Personal Banking and Specialist Banking and more recently within the HR Function, supporting senior leaders.

Outside of work Michael supports and attends a Men’s suicide support Group, Mind The Men. The group was set up in Glasgow by Michael’s friend Gary MacDonald, following the death of his cousin Grant, from suicide. As part of World Mental Health Day this year Michael shared his story about his own challenges with Mental health and also about the work that they do at Mind The Men which raised a lot of interest about similar groups and also the question about the bank setting up their own Men’s Group.

Michael is also a volunteer Mentor for Project Scotland, helping to support young adults from varying backgrounds into employment and supporting their futures.  At home Michael lives with his partner Elaine, his daughter Eva and their son Isaac who is 9 months.
