Caroline Eglinton

Access and Inclusion Manager, Network Rail

Caroline's background has been working as a senior business change manager on programmes and projects at Network Rail for over 12 years; from construction projects to people and business change projects within the organisation.

Caroline's role as Access and Inclusion Manager within the business is a unique role incorporating technical and corporate/human resources and customer service elements and sits within the Diversity and Inclusion Team within Human Resources.  The role specialises in bringing focus to Inclusive Design in stations, offices and rail related buildings, as well as considering all of the elements of our business as it relates to disability, whether that is disabled passengers, station users or disabled employees.  This involves improving access for everyone to the built environment, developing a more inclusive railway and recruiting and retaining disabled talent within the workforce.

Caroline was also diagnosed with the genetic condition cystic fibrosis when she was approximately 8 months old.
