Non-visible disabilities: neurodiversity and mental health

Hosted by Accenture.

Book your place on our upcoming professional development workshop, “Non-visible disabilities: Neurodiversity and mental health” taking place in March 2019 hosted by Accenture.

The last few years have seen a great deal of progress in mental health but there is still a lot of work to be done to help understand and support those with neurodiverse and mental health conditions in the work place.

This course will help you:

  • Understand the difference between mental health and ‘neurodiverse’ conditions including autism and dyslexia.
  • Take anticipatory action to reduce barriers that employees with a variety of non-visible disabilities may face in the workplace.
  • Take action to increase the number of employees in your organisation choosing to share information about their disability.
  • Support line managers to identify when an employee with a non-visible disability may require an adjustment.
  • Support line managers in having sensitive conversations, including where an employee may require an adjustment but does not want to share information about their disability.

Attending this course will provide the tools and skills to be confident in delivering adjustments that work for individuals, teams and the business.

Who should attend?

  • Diversity and inclusion professionals.
  • Employee relations managers.
  • HR advisors.
  • Equality managers.
