Disability in the workplace

Two colleagues shaking hands

Hosted by Accenture

This course offers foundational principles to understanding disability in the workplace; legal responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010; and how to anticipate the needs of disabled employees.  Disability-smart organisations can ensure that they value, attract and retain the very best talent including those who are disabled or who become disabled.

Participants in this course will come away with a practical understanding of best practice solutions to ensuring disabled employees have everything they need in an inclusive work environment.

Course attendees will:

  • Develop knowledge of disability in the workplace and workplace adjustments.
  • Build an understanding of why disability matters in the workplace, considering both the perspective of employee and the organisation.
  • Know what support should be available for disabled employees.

Who should attend:

This course is well suited to HR or diversity and inclusion professionals with a minimal knowledge of disability in the workplace, the law and best practice – people that are new to their roles or haven’t worked on disability before.
