CamdenAbility: Attendance and performance management

CamdenAbility is a collaborative project that aims to improve disability confidence across businesses throughout the London borough of Camden.

Places are reserved for organisations within the borough of Camden.

Managing staff performance is critical to organisational success.  Having the right set of processes that aim to maintain and improve employee performance in line with organisational objectives will not only ensure the success of employees, but the organisation more widely.

This course is designed to help participants deepen their understanding of reasonable adjustments and how to apply them in the context of performance management. They will also develop a practical understanding of best-practice solutions ensuring disabled employees have everything they need to contribute positively to individual and team objectives.

By the end of this training module, delegates will be able to:

  • Understand the law and how to make adjustments
  • Determine what’s reasonable
  • Use workplace adjustments as a tool to support disabled employees in creating appropriate targets
  • Apply best practice to ensure that policies don’t disadvantage disabled colleagues
  • Have sensitive conversations about performance
