Business Disability Forum has a pivotal role to play in helping businesses improve attraction and recruitment practices, enabling our Partners and Members to tap into a wide pool of disabled talent.

Our membership employs nearly 15% of the UK workforce and includes a number of the UK’s leading recruitment providers. 

The ‘Access to Employment’ taskforce exists as a forum to support organisations develop:

  • effective disability attraction strategies
  • barrier free recruitment and selection practices
  • fair and robust policies and procedures aimed at retaining disabled employees
  • mechanisms for culture change, for example creating a culture where disabled employees feel comfortable sharing personal information with their employer

This is an opportunity to foster constructive dialogue between employers and the recruitment organisations that are part of our membership to meet their common aims of increasing the volume of disabled people successfully applying for positions. 

Working with members of the taskforce, we are keen to develop tools and resources that enable organisations to improve how they attract, recruit and retain people with disabilities.
