Employment Taskforce – Sold out

The Employment Taskforce brings together Business Disability Forum members and partners to discuss the key issues in relation to the attraction, recruitment and retention of disabled people. The Taskforce has focused on a number of employment-related issues in the last 18 months including; 

  • Access to Work  
  • Inclusive recruitment practises  
  • Workplace adjustments  
  • Disability passports or adjustment plans   

Our next taskforce event will be held as a remote meeting on the 20 January from 10:00am to 11:30am.   

At this meeting, we will hear from Leonard Cheshire about the Change 100 Programme, a pioneering internship programme aimed at helping disabled students into work. 

Angela Matthews, Head of Business Disability Forum Policy and Research will also be talking about the government’s Kickstart initiative and what this means for disabled jobseekers. 

The meeting will operate as a closed meeting with a view to creating a safe space where people can share some of the challenges they face and the solutions being considered and implemented to overcome these.
