Disability-Smart Webinar: Recruitment

If you are interested in attending, please click here to register.

Recruiting diverse candidates into your organisation is a key factor to improving diverse thinking, innovation, business improvement and performance and ensuring you reflect the diversity of your customers and supply chain.

In order to remain competitive, businesses must attract the, often, untapped talent pool of Disabled candidates. A disability-smart organisation understands how to reach and attract this vast talent pool and be an employer of choice. They can anticipate the needs of disabled candidates and make adjustments throughout the attraction, selection and on-boarding process where needed. This includes not only how candidates apply for roles, but how they are assessed, interviewed and communicated with throughout the hiring process whether online or face to face.

Led by BDF Senior Business Partner, Hazel Leighfield, this webinar will help you to understand how to ensure you attract disabled candidates and support them throughout the recruitment process from attraction through to onboarding and ensuring that they thrive within your organisation.

During this webinar, we will discuss:

  • How do you attract disabled candidates.
  • Your organisation’s legal requirements to make adjustments for candidates with disabilities, some do’s and dont’s.
  • Shortlisting, assessment and interviews, pitfalls and adjustments.
  • Disability-smart recruitment principles.
  • Post job offer support during onboarding.
  • Where to go further support.

Further details:

The webinar will be 45 minutes in length with time for questions.

Who should register?

  • Diversity and inclusion professionals.
  • Recruitment Leads.
  • HR advisors.
  • Equality managers.
