Peer Learning Network

Business Disability Forum’s Peer Learning Network is structured to help you identify priorities and practical actions with the aim of supporting you to move at your own pace through the three levels of the Disability Confident Scheme – Level 1 “Committed”, Level 2 “Employer” and Level 3 “Leader” and onto BDF’s own Disability Smart Self-Assessment. The Network will take a “whole organisation” approach with a focus on the practical steps you can take to engage all areas of your business.

Places are strictly limited to a maximum of 25 participants and one person from an organisation per session.  This is to ensure that the sessions are interactive, and every delegate can participate fully. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If a session is fully booked, you will be placed on a waiting list and allocated a place if one becomes available.

As with all our networks, the Peer Learning Network will be held under Chatham House rules to provide a safe space to talk about what works – and what doesn’t! You’ll also be learning and developing with a small group of your peers to share experiences and knowledge that you can then put into practice in your own organisation.

The Peer Learning Network and the Getting Started Toolkit will be launching at a webinar on 26 May (click here for the details to the event) with the first meeting of the BDF Peer Learning Network taking place on Wednesday 1 September, hosted on Microsoft Teams. This first session will be hosted by our CEO, Diane Lightfoot, who will be leading a discussion on what participants want to get out of the Network, which are the priority issues, and to build a sense of community and a safe space for sharing. This will then be used to shape a roadmap for future sessions with a focus on priority topics to be explored at subsequent meetings, which will take place every two months thereafter.

Please note that each meeting will be advertised on Business Disability Forum’s events registration page. Dial-in details will be shared upon registration for each meeting.

If you are unable to attend after registering, please let us know as soon as possible so that your place isn’t wasted and can be allocated to someone on the waiting list.
