Northern England Network

A group of people talk

We believe that Business Disability Forum has a pivotal role to play to bring together our Partners and Members ensure a consistent and high level of service is providing to all their customers and employees, including those with disabilities.

In order to increase our outreach, we are following in the success of the Scottish roundtables meetings and now have a presence in the North of England with our Northern England Network.

Meetings for the Northern England Network occur 3 times per calendar year and hosts will be located anywhere in the North of England. The meetings usually run from 11am till 3pm, to allow attendees to get to the varied venues, and lunch is usually provided by the hosts. For further information on upcoming meetings, please check our events pages.  Recent topics that we have discussed at meetings include inclusive recruitment, staff networks, accessible facilities and getting it right for your disabled colleagues and customers.

Another key part of the meeting is the opportunity to network with like minded peers from other organisations. We create a safe space where we can talk about some of the best practice that organisation have implemented, as well as open discussions about where things may not be going so well.

All Members and Partners with representation in the North are welcome to attend. To register your interest so that we can keep you up to date of any future meetings, please email events@businessdisabilityforum.org.uk. Inclusion in the Northern England Network is included at no extra cost to our Members and Partners.

The Northern England Network is chaired and co-ordinated by our Taskforce Manager, Lucy Ruck.
