Press release: Sopra Steria Recruitment to sponsor key Business Disability Forum event

01 February 2018

London, UK: Sopra Steria Recruitment, one of the leading UK staffing companies and managed recruitment service providers, is delighted to announce that it will be continuing its close relationship with Business Disability Forum (BDF) by sponsoring this year’s President’s Group Dinner.

The event, which will be held on the 8th of February at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London, brings members of BDF’s President’s Group together to identify and discuss the strategic challenges and opportunities associated with becoming a Disability-smart employer.

Sopra Steria Recruitment currently works closely with the Business Disability Forum on a number of initiatives as part of its commitment to promoting best practice in barrier free recruitment: its teams all undertake regular training with the organisation, the business is a sponsor of BDF’s Recruitment Service Provider Charter and it worked closely with BDF and recruitment trade body APSCo to develop a Best Practice Disability-smart Guide for employers.

Pete Holliday, Managing Director, Sopra Steria Recruitment, comments:

“Sopra Steria Recruitment is fully committed to barrier free and inclusive recruitment practices - for us it’s business as usual and embedded with our whole organisational approach. However, the sad fact is that disabled individuals continue to remain hugely underrepresented in the workforce, and we must continue to work together to ensure that we find a way to change this. Events such as this provide a platform where we can share ideas and forge solutions and we are honoured to be in a position to support this very worthy cause.”

Diane Lightfoot, Chief Executive Officer at Business Disability Forum, said:

“We are delighted to continue working closely with Sopra Steria Recruitment, who since they started working with us in 2015 have taken some very solid steps to achieve excellence in the field of disability-smart recruitment. This is one of our biggest events of the year and Sopra Steria Recruitment’s support follows their sponsorship of the Recruitment Charter in 2016.”
