Daniel Wiles

Disability Trainer

Daniel is a Disability Trainer and member of the Specialist Solutions team at Business Disability Forum (BDF). Working with Members, Partners and non-members, Daniel works with clients to understand their business’ Learning & Development needs, before writing and delivering engaging solutions to improve their disability performance and add value to the business.

Before joining BDF in 2014, Daniel spent six years working with people with a disability or long-term condition and a forensic history, supporting people from secure hospitals back into the community. Whilst managing a staff team, he led on autism, learning disability and delivered training across the organisation on this.

At BDF Daniel specialises in autism and neurodiversity. He develops and delivers training on the full range of disability and business related topics and speaks at industry events. In 2016 BDF released the report “Square holes for square pegs: current practice in employment and autism” by Daniel, following his research. Previously, as a member of BDF’s Advice Service, Daniel answered over 1000 queries on disability and best practice from BDF Members and Partners, advising on complex cases and gaining unique insight into the common challenges faced by businesses. Daniel has worked on Learning and Development internationally, writing and delivering training for organisations based in the Middle East.

Daniel is also a trustee and member of the leadership team for a charity that provides holidays for young people.
