Module 1: Awareness

Video learning

In the first module of our workplace mental health e-guidance series, participants will be asked to think about their own attitudes and assumptions toward mental health, and to consider how they work with colleagues with mental health conditions.

In this module, participants will learn how to:

  • Identify what mental ill health is and what some of the most common mental health conditions are;
  • Identify triggers that might lead to the development of a mental health condition; and
  • Raise awareness of mental ill health in the workplace and support colleagues with mental ill health.

This module also features conversations with John Binns of BDF Partner Deloitte and Charlotte Rooney of BDF Partner Environment Agency, who talk about their own experiences with mental ill health and the excellent support they received from their employers.
