International consultancy

At Business Disability Forum we have considerable experience in supporting organisations across all sectors to become ‘disability-smart’, both in the UK and internationally.

Working in partnership with leads at a global, regional and local level we devise a methodology designed to assist business to measure and improve performance for employees and customers with disabilities wherever they are in the world.

The disability landscape differs from country to country and our approach is designed to ensure that methodology and outputs are created collaboratively and in a way that ensures they are culturally and legally appropriate.

We offer a range of tailored initiatives that can support you to:

  • Develop a global commitment to improving practice for employees and customers with disabilities wherever they are in the world.
  • Establish an evidence base of where global functions impact on your organisation's ability to make progress at regional and local level.
  • Gain an improved and shared understanding of the legal and cultural considerations relating to disability at a regional level or local level.
  • Assess disability practice in specific locations in order to identify what is working well and what needs to be improved.
  • Develop a strategy for measuring and improving disability performance globally.

In addition to our international consultancy work, we have also worked with international partners to develop localised versions of our publications and our Disability Standard management tool. For example, we are proud that our Disability Standard provides the framework for the ‘Access and Inclusion Index’ offered by the Australian Network on Disability and the Ministry of Labor’s ‘Mowaamah’ certification system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
