Catherine Grinyer

Catherine is the Director and owner of Big Voice, a specialist inclusive communications consultancy advising organisations on how to remove barriers from their communications to reach the widest possible audience and make every word count.

Serving as Chair of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Diversity Working Group and as a member of the Public Relations Consultants Association Diversity Network, Catherine is a champion for removing barriers and widening access to the communications profession.

Before setting up Big Voice, Catherine was Director of Communications at Business Disability Forum for 7 years, responsible for communications to the forum's 400 corporate members and external stakeholders; leading an award-winning rebrand in 2012. 


Catherine draws on a wide-ranging career covering all aspects of communications, which has included time as chief executive of Networking for Industry and commercial attaché at the German Embassy in London. 


Passionate about the need for inclusive communications, Catherine has written a skills guide for the CIPR on how to ensure communications are produced in an inclusive way.
